SPORT CAR?
VOLKSWAGEN LOOP CONCEPT: A DUALITY
The concept was developed in line with the Teutonic identity of VW, drawing inspiration from another renowned German brand, Adidas. Throughout the design process, the Adidas logo served as an iconic reference, symbolizing unity and movement. While the Adidas logo evokes a sense of 'teaming and moving' in a trilogy, the LOOP concept encapsulates this duality between the car and the driver, emphasizing that the ultimate goal of the journey is pure joy.
What does a sports car really mean?
This design study explores the concept of a sports car that connects driving to the experience of sport.
A "sports car" traditionally refers to a vehicle designed for high performance, handling, and speed, often with an emphasis on agility, lightweight design, and sleek aesthetics. It's built with advanced engineering to provide a thrilling driving experience, typically offering a higher level of performance than regular vehicles.
In the context of this design study, the concept of a "sports car" is being expanded beyond just speed and performance. The idea of "connecting driving to making sport" suggests a more holistic approach, where the car itself might be designed to enhance physical engagement and an active, athletic experience. This could involve features that promote movement, activity, or even ergonomics that align with physical exertion, blending the thrill of driving with the physicality of sport.
