NOTHING MORE THAN NATURE
The meaning of the body is shaped by rocks and water so as to flow through the sensation of nature with integrity while passing through the architectonic structure of the river.
The body is inspired by a river, which expresses rock and water in a duality of solidity and liquidity. They are neither opposing nor dominating each other; they create a new sensation of a moving constitution to a harmony between rigidity and fluidity.
The concept creates a complex spatial meaning of nature in an abstract image and provokes velocity; it expresses the visible emotion of freedom encouraged by the feeling of flowing instead of driving.
This project had been done for TOFAŞ (Türk Otomobil Fabrikası Anonim Şirketi) in the name of the corporate image with FIAT in 2009. TOFAŞ builds FIAT models under license.
The 3D CNC model was done in the Istanbul Technical University Indurstial Design Department Modeling Laboratory.
