The new flagship Alfa Romeo Orbita represents a fusion between the elegance and dynamism of a coupé and the comfort of a four-door sedan. The Orbita is a twin-track conversation with both those of the past and with contemporary Alfa Romeo styling cues in the sculptural body inspired by classical art.

Style, sport, elegance, and executive luxury are the defining traits of the Orbita, which express technology more than stylistic trends by exploring the beauty in particular of the current state-of-the-art statue.

The body of the Orbita develops an interpretation of the luxury and comfort of a car in this size with a coupe architecture, as the idea of its coupé-like silhouette comes with driving pleasure that is not bound solely to speed and power but also to the lyrical and poetic aspects conveyed by Alfa Romeo.

A flagship vehicle is the most prestigious vehicle in the line-up of an auto marque, usually serving as the representation of the marque's most iconic design and engineering philosophies.

This project was done in the Scuola Politecnica di Design/Master in Car & Transportation Design Program in the 2007/2008 academic year. The project was a collaboration with Alfa Romeo Centro Stile.

The clay model of this project was coordinated in teamwork with Mark Salerno.
