ANNOUNCEMENT OF DESIGN PLAGIARISM

Alfa Romeo Orbita Concept is my master degree project as a car designer and architect at Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan during the 2007–2008 academic year.

Alfa Romeo Tonale Concept is a concept car that was presented by FCA, Alfa Romeo, at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. This project was led by Alessandro Maccolini, Alexandros Liokis, and other unknown team members.

Although it has a different volume, Tonale Concept has the main design characteristics that create the actual project: the authentic creativity, the original idea, the design value, and the brand identity from my master's degree project Orbita without giving any credits. Obviously, Alfa Romeo has copied my project with its overall design characteristics, most clearly seen in the front light design, which defines the main character of the car. Although he denies it, Alessandro Macclolini, one of the team members, knows my master project Orbita better than anyone since he was there with me during my master's as the one from Alfa Romeo for the collaboration.

Below, you can see more about the design plagiarism in comparison with the common design elements. Apart from the light design, which gives the main ''look'' to the car, there are many other design features directly taken from my project that a professional eye can easily address. This case is significant to defend my reputation in the industry and my rights as a car designer, and it will continue until I see fairness.

The character is everything for car design, and this car, Tonale, has the spirit, the look, and the character of my project, Orbita; it is a stolen design that needs to be addressed to the original source, to me.

*This website, my online portfolio, has been active since 2008. It is a free, open-source project for car designers, architects, urban planners, and researchers.
